Respiratory therapists focus solely on helping patients breathe better by creating care plans and protocols that meet their specific needs. They work in hospitals, sleep disorder clinics, diagnostic laboratories, or rehabilitation centers. When you earn your Associate of Occupational Science in Respiratory Therapy from ACC, you'll be eligible to take the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) exams offered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
