Optical Dispensing Training
Optical Dispensing technicians work closely with optometrists and ophthalmologists to find the best eye care choice for each patient. The Optical Technician program at American Career College can prepare graduates for the National Opticianry Competency Exam and the Contact Lens Registry Exam, administered by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO/NCLE). After completing the program at ACC, graduates could work in a lab, creating glasses based on specific patient data and measurements, or could also work directly with patients, helping them choose frames, lenses, and other eye care products to meet their needs.
